Utilization rate report is one of the most powerful and diverse reports in Silverbucket. There are two report types which are "utilization rates" and "invoicing rates". One can choose the report type from the common filters.
The basis of calculating the data
There are three alternatives for the basis of calculating the rates. This is important to understand before choosing the describing filters. The different alternatives are managed through the combination of two switches: "skip absences" in common filters and "absences" in project type filters. Here are the three alternatives for basis of calculating the data with their filtering options as well:
1) Full data without any exclusions (all allocations and full capacity) = skip absences (common filters) is off and absences (project type filters) is on [default filters, see picture below]
2) Absence projects' allocations/realizations are excluded from the calculation (full capacity) = skip absences (common filters) is off and absences (project type filters) is off
3) Absence projects' allocations/realizations are excluded from the calculation from data and capacity = skip absences (common filters) is on and absences (project type filters) is off

Report data types
One needs to decide which data s/he wants to utilize in the report. The options are: allocations, realizations or both allocations and realizations. The system will use this choice as the base for the reporting and comparison.
Use cases
One can monitor the utilization or invoicing rate through the different viewpoints: persons, organizations, supervisors, roles or user groups. Please read the basis of calculating data and data types sections above and set the base for the report according to the reporting needs. The different viewpoints are:
By person - the rates are separately on a person level
By organizations - the rates are summed on a organization level
By supervisors - the rate on a supervisor level presents the summed rate of the subordinates of the supervisor
By roles - the rate of a certain role includes all the particular roles that are assigned to people (note: unassigned roles are excluded)
By user groups - the rate of a user group contains the data and capacity of the people included in the particular user group
